Yes. You are, at least, polluting your lungs from burning dried and probably partly fermented vegetable matter. It is a good bet you are inhaling carbon monoxide [a poison] as well as various other products which will, at a minimum, irritate the alveoli of the lung and reduce the oxygen potential of your blood. Also, the smoke will, in time, cause emphysema [just like tobacco]
Quit smoking
Here’s an article on the effects of various non-tobacco products when smoked: http://www.quit.org.au/quit/FandI/fandi/c03s20.htm
Find another habit. Smoke is not supposed to go into lungs and regular use will always cause damage.
duhh.
any smoke inhaled is bad for your lungs.
quit
Duh. Yeah.
Lung cancer is a huge factor here. Have a healthy and happy leap year!
I am afraid the question is unanswerable in any quantative way, there are no controlled studies looking at th health risks of tea smoking. My gut feeling is that like smoking ANY organic compound it is likely to cause significant damage. This seems to be a feature of inhaling any organic smoke. For example cannabis smoking is 5 times more likely to lead to lung cancer than tobacco.
